Vicki and her husband Jed started V Gallery in the cramped basement of their house at the age of 23. With a focus on artistic portraiture, the business evolved into a 4,000 sq. foot studio with 8 employees in just 3 years. Vicki attributes a large portion of her success to the high profile image she has created for her portrait gallery. Vicki has spoken to photographers both nationally and internationally, including South Korea. She has been recognized by Kodak as one of the up and coming photographers in the industry. In 2004, she won the Illinois High School Seniors’ Choice Award. In 2005, Vicki won the Highest Scoring Print at the Orvieto Fotographia event in Italy as well as the Grand Prize in the portrait category at WPPI.

Selling the Experience

“Selling the Experience” is a term Jed and Vicki have used for several years and a philosophy they have embraced since the beginning of their photographic endeavors. From the first phone call to the final pick-up, the difference is in the details that go beyond their clients’ expectations. Jed and Vicki work as a team.Vicki focuses on photography and marketing, while Jed is in charge of all theimaging and digital needs of the studio. They work together in “Selling the Experience.”

The key to selling the experience is great customer service. This class will not only cover marketing and sales but will help you in creating a brand for your studio. Jed and Vicki will also cover how V Gallery integrates technology into the everyday workflow of their studio including some Photoshop techniques as well as networking and archiving.
