Named for 1959-60 PPLA President John E. Kuhlman, the scholarship is designed to encourage continued education of its membership. PPLA will pay up to $800.00 in tuition fees for any PPA affiliated school of photography. The recipient may choose a course from a wide selection of courses offered pertinent to the technical, creative, or business of photography. The class or school chosen is subject to the approval of the committee and must be a PPA Affiliate.

Criteria for eligibility:
Applicant must have been an Active member of PPLA for a minimum of 2 years and be in good standing. The applicant must also have been in business for a minimum of 2 years. Applicant cannot yet have received any degrees from PPA.

All applications are judged anonymously, and the winner will be announced during SPX.
