You will have an opportunity to learn hands on how to produce a dramatic portrait with hard lighting as well as a soft glamour portrait, using one as well as multiple units. You will be given an opportunity to work with a model as you are given direction for producing beautiful images for your portfolio. James is there to answer your questions, have a little fun and help you think outside your box. Let’s see how easy it is to mix ambient with speed light.

Hanson Fong of San Francisco, California, is globally recognized as one of the premier wedding and portrait photographers in the industry. With more than 35 years of experience, Hanson has rightfully earned the Photographic Degrees of Master of Photography and Photographic Craftsman. He is currently a member of the prestigious Society of XXV. Hanson is also proud a member of Canon’s Explorers of Light.

Hanson’s photographic experience and educational credentials are unsurpassed. As an award winning photographer and instructor, Hanson is on the cutting edge of photography. His work sets the standard for photographers around the world. Hanson regularly shares his techniques that apply to both fine art and classical photography. In his course “Click! TimeTo Look Good!” he demonstrates the Classic 10 Poses that he pioneered, flow posing, body shifting and facial analysis. Complimented with his animated personality, attendees enjoy live shooting demonstrations, hands on posing techniques, as well as large screen projections of present and past work.

Hanson has lectured at every major school of photography across America and has been invited to speak at various national and international conventions. RYAN BROWN, MPhotog, Cr, CPP The Basics of Creating Great Portraits

In this 60-90 minute program, Ryan will discuss the basic choices of camera settings, lenses, and metering works best for portraits. We will also take a look at basic forms of portrait lighting, and posing to flatter your subject. We will finish the 90 minute class with demonstration of lighting and posing.

Ryan Brown has been a professional photographer in the Kansas City area, photographing weddings and portraits domestically and internationally for 13 years.
Ryan is a member of the Professional Photographers of America, and is a past president of the Missouri Professional Photographers Association. Ryan’s degrees from the PPA include Master of Photography, Master Artist, and the degree of Photographic Craftsmen. Ryan earned a B.S. in Photography from Central Missouri State University in 2003.
Ryan’s certifications include Certified Professional Photographer, Certified Wedding Photographer and Certified Stock Photographer. Ryan has been a Technical Representative for Sigma Corporation since 2012.
